HOBBIES

* Hobbies are a new and exclusive feature to Tokimeki Memorial 3. You can access them via the bottom left icon in the Home Command Menu. Indulging in hobbies is how you obtain new items such as birthday/Christmas gifts, food, room furniture, and clothing. You can also gain new conversation topics for restaurant dates, discover new websites on the computer, see special events, and more.

* The list of hobbies will change as you do them, as some activities have prerequesites before they are unlocked. Because this means your list will look different from anyone else's list, this page will show what the default list looks like, then break down the hobbies by category. All categories are sorted together in-game and share the same image, so you should be able to find them easily.

* While most hobby activities are one-time use unless otherwise stated, you can redo hobbies that give you items if you give away that specific item. So if you knit gloves and give them away at Christmas, the option to knit them again will reappear in the hobby menu.

* The Gardening hobby allows you to make flowers that you can give as gifts or place in your room. Getting the gardening catalogue, cultivating roses, cultivating chrysanthemums, cultivating tulips, cultivating cactus, cultivating aloe, cultivating azalea, cultivating camellia, cultivating orchid adds a new conversation topic to restaurant dates.

* The Fishing hobby allows you to fish up fish and other items that you can give as gifts. Every time you fish up a new item, your character also makes a print of it, which can be used to decorate your room. Getting the fishing catalogue adds a new conversation topic to restaurant dates. The sea & river fishing activities will remain on your hobby list indefinitely once you've unlocked them.

* The Handicrafts hobby allows you to make new clothing that you can either wear or give as gifts. Getting the handicrafts catalogue and the fashion catalogue adds a new conversation topic to restuarant dates.

* The Literature hobby gives you books to give as gifts. After reading a book, it turns into a "read" book in your inventory. Obtaining any book gets you a conversation topic to restaurant dates. Reading each book adds a conversation topic for each specific book genre.

* The Art hobby gives you works of art to place in your room or give as gifts. Obtaining the magazine gets you a conversation topic for restaurant dates.

* The Cookery hobby allows you to make food that you can either consume to increase Health or give as gifts. The introductory cooking magazine, the candy magazine, research coffee, and ultimate ice cream give you new conversation topics for restaurant dates. If you make a packed lunch before obtaining the magazine, you will make a failed packed lunch. The option to make a packed lunch will only be readded after you obtain the magazine, where you will then be able to make a normal packed lunch. When you make coffee, it removes the coffee beans from your inventory, allowing you to grow another coffee plant.

* The Gaming hobby lets you purchase and play games that can be given as gifts or discussed in restaurant dates. Buying the strategy guide makes the progress bar for all games rise faster. The game catalogue and the strategy guide each give you a new conversation topic for restaurant dates. Obtaining a game, playing a game, and completing a game each gives you conversation topics for that genre of game. You can continue to replay games once you're on the "complete" step, but it doesn't give you anything extra.

* The Excavation hobby lets you obtain items that can be given as gifts or placed in your room. Certain items will give you conversation topics for restaurant dates.

* The Walking hobby lets you see unique scenes involving other characters. There is a chance you'll have an awful walk and won't see any scenes. It may be based on the time of year and which characters you've met.

* The Web Surfing hobby lets you find new webpages to add to your list of websites you can visit using the Computer command. Most websites are just flavour text such as promos for in-universe shows or random blogs, but some can give you tips about the game, unlock date spots (I think?), or put you in contact with a pen pal. As far as I know, these pages are unlocked in a random order. Some pages will update every now and then as well. When they do, they will have a "NEW" icon instead of the star. When you have found all the websites you can at the moment, the activity will not go away but will fail whenever you use it. There are at least 25 websites to find.
