The chosen hero.
Alec used to think he was one of the coolest kids in the world. His parents were rich and like, super spies or something? Being taught things like how to fire a gun and ride a motorcycle while still a teenager made him consider himself a future action hero. But his worldview tilted when he chased after the girl he was crushing on to an alternate world called "Xalcus", a place where virtually everyone was some kind of hyper-competent sorcerer that could fling energy balls and spells like it was nobodies business. A lot of things happened while he tried to make it work there: his crush drifted apart from him because she was busy with some superhero destiny, a literal goddess of "love" or "life" or whatever used his DNA to create crazy superhuman kids... Overwhelmed by this life, he retreated back to Earth in an attempt to return to his old life and forget about that girl he liked. But a couple decades later and the supernatural still seems to haunt him whether he likes it or not...
In a world where girls awaken mystical powers when they come of age, Kassandra hoped the transformation would cure her muteness and overall frail and illness-prone body. However, shortly before her eighteenth birthday, she stumbled into a spacetime rift in which the journey robbed her of her life. Fortunately, she wound up in a world called "Xalcus", where the landscape's powerful energies allowed her (and other spirits) to continue living a somewhat normal existence on its mortal plane. Accepting her fate and undergoing the tutalige of a local warrior to learn magic of her own, Kassandra experienced years of adventures on Xalcus (and another strange world called "Earth") that were filled with fun, drama, and romance. Somehow she even became a literal goddess of wind? So um, happy ending I guess!
Known only as "The Shapeshifter", no one knows their true name, face, or origins. They have the power to turn into any lifeform or object - but only once. Once they change out of that form, they can never return to it. This suits them fine though - they don't want anyone getting to know them anyways.
Angela is the textbook example of a hero - strong, kind, dependable... But could there be more to life? No, she mustn't think about that! Angela yearns to live up to her mother's heroic legacy, devoting her life to protecting the people of Xalcus and helping them rebuild their communities. She's studious and unwaveringly committed... but when her family starts to leave her behind to move onto new and better lives, can her dedication to her cause remain steadfast?
As the second oldest of her siblings, Sarah takes it upon herself to be the beating heart of the family. While her other siblings battle on the front lines, she protects their backs. She has a strong affinity for earth magic and a love of plant life, leading her to erronously refer to herself as a druid. She left her home of Xalcus to start a new life on Earth, where she has since adjusted and now has a beautiful husband and wife and two awesome kids. But don't start underestimating her! She hasn't lost her touch and is always ready to spring back into action at the first sign of supernatural mischief.
Winter walks a unique existence, being born with a weak connection to a certain Xalcian ice deity's hivemind - something that traditionally requires someone to be, erm, indoctrinated into. Does this affect her personality or way of life at all? Well, it may explain why Winter has a taste for souls... But doesn't everyone?! Anyways, he often takes it upon himself to be the life of the party, wearing a perpetual smile and behaving erratically to cheer up people around them. You won't find a single hint of social anxiety or hesitation in this guy! Unfortunately, they have zero awareness when it comes to social cues, tact, and empathy, so their behaviour often rubs people the wrong way.
thats a gay frog
Formally known as "The Divine Potential", Tia is one of the deities of "Zenith" created by The Overseer to watch over and provide wisdom and guidance to mortals along the path of life. Perhaps it's a design flaw or her standards are simply too high, Tia is a little too close-minded to always carry out her purpose effectively, typically focusing on what someone has already achieved instead of what they could in the future. Regardless, she takes her job very seriously and is often the one to whip her Divine siblings into shape when they slack off.
Despite being the daughter of a CEO, Ioanthia lacks the haughtiness a girl from a wealthy family would have. She's bold, rash, and always ready to leap into action to stand up for what she thinks is right. These traits are what makes her perfectly suited for the prototype of her mother's project: the Media Warriors System - a line of armoured heroes designed to fight against the recent appearances of monsters called "OCs". The good news? With the help of several other Media Warriors, she saved the world! The bad news? Well, during the fight with the Big Bad behind it all, a tear opened up in the fabric of reality and they fell into The Void. Despite having now been trapped there for God-knows-how-long, Io remains optimistic that she and the others trapped there will escape someday.
He's been called many names: The Masked Wanderer, The Blood Knight, The Crimson Crusader... But who is he really? No one knows, but he is well known across the Galaxia System for his constant pursuit of strength. He is neither hero nor villain - simply someone who wishes to test their strength against strong opponents. His arrival to a planet is always treated like an oncoming calamity by both good and evil factions, as no one knows who he will choose to side with - or if he'll just mow down everyone regardless of morality. He is easily recognized by three things: his heart-shaped mask, his four bat-like wings, and a fashionable pair of jeans.
Iven is the Deity of Corruption of the world "Xalcus", created at its beginning to play a part in designing it. Although they once set a devestating plague upon Xalcus on a whim, they claim to be atoning by no longer contributing to the world's development - positive or negative. They flipflop between polite and goofy, but those who know them know they still harbour a massive god complex, believing they alone among their fifteen "siblings" should be the one true successor of their Creator's powers.
Having been adopted by a human druid as an infant, Trill has no idea they're actually a succubus! Instead, they merely believe they're some kind of human with horns and a tail, which their mothers never argued against. This is part because they come from the year 2108 where supernatural beings have lived openly and peacefully among humans for around eighty years, so there was never any social stigma about Trill's appearance. Aspiring to be a druid themselves, they enrolled in Barker Academy, the world's most prestigious supernatural-aligned school, built over ninety years ago to foster understanding between species. They can also be seen carrying books on necromancy... I wonder what that's about.
Coming from a prestigous family, Aurora Spellweaver has always been seen as a prodigy. Ever since she was young, she has been incredible at everything: music, writing, art, cooking, magic, and more. Her innate talents have caused her to have an inflated ego - but I mean, is that a problem when it's all true? Once she hit eighteen, her doting parents encouraged her to enroll in Barker Academy, the top school in the country when it comes to magical and supernatural studies. There's only one problem: Aurora... can't actually do anything on her own. She's been lying to her family her whole life with the help of her butlers and other servants! Unwilling to tarnish her family's name by letting the truth come out, she attends Barker Academy in hopes of finally learning magic under its prestigous teachers... or to at least bluff her way into success like she always has.
After working as a mercenary for years, Ygg Drasell put that life behind him to become a guard for the village of Geth where his best friend's aging father is the elder in charge. When he accepts a mission to deliver goods to the capital of Neos, his life ends up intertwining with eleven others who all have their own reasons for wanting to travel the world. Together, the twelve of them end up fighting Una, the god of their world... wait, back up a bit. Huh? Anyways, although he looks scary, Ygg is a dragon with a heart of gold and would do anything to protect the innocent peoples of Neos. He's a little out-of-touch with the youth and their style of humour - not to mention his fear of heights makes him seem unreliable at times - but that's okay. We still love him.
Waking up in the world of "Xalcus" to discover they have no memories of who they are or how they got here, this unusual youth is dubbed "The Seeker" by the locals. Who they were before doesn't matter though, because they have been entrusted with an ancient power that can determine the fate of the world. Will they fight to protect Xalcus or plunge it into chaos? This is the question on everyone's minds when trying to figure out the endgoal of this stranger, but in truth, The Seeker is just kinda going with the flow and seeing what comes of it. The giant book they woke up with is also always on the back of their mind...
